I am a freelance photographer who lives and works in Rockhampton. I am relatively new to Queensland, having moved here in 2007 from Sydney. My husband, three children and I have grown to love it here. It is a great place to live with a wonderful community spirit. My passion for photography began when I was given a film SLR Camera for my 18th birthday. There have been a few cameras since then as things are always changing, and I find my love of photography seems to grow as the technology changes and improves. It's an ever-changing industry and I find my passion for learning and changing with it never seems to diminish.
I started my formal studies as a photographer in 2001 at the Western Sydney Institute and while I was there I discovered my love for black and white photography. I was always fascinated watching beautiful images and memories flourish as the chemicals washed over them in the dark room. The process has changed with digital photography but that feeling of fascination has not waned. Since then I have been lucky enough to work along side one of Sydney’s leading photographers.
Family and Portrait Sittings
My photographic sittings normally take about an hour and I like them to be fun and relaxed. With three children of my own, I have certainly learnt that the best shots are not always those you planned.. I believe my style helps to bring out people's personalities and makes for some beautiful family shots..
I am available to either come to your home or to a setting of your choice. We are very lucky in Central Queensland to have so many beautiful locations. The Botanical Gardens and the Kershaw Gardens have some gorgeous locations.. and who could go past the beautiful beaches at our doorstep? Your images are then uploaded to a secure website where you can browse at your own leisure before you decide on your order.
I pour my heart into the pictures I take and it is a great pleasure to help capture those lifelong memories for my clients.
Commercial Photography
